Ask yourself
HOW DID WE GET HERE ?
You play a bigger role than you think. And
Now That role is more important than ever. prior to the murder of Brazil Johnson there had not been a black trans woman murdered in Milwaukee in ten years While our girls still faced inexcusable violence I know that we can get back to a place in Milwaukee where it is not rapidly occurring. There is also a fentanyl crisis impacting this community.
Donate, support, volunteer or collaborate with the transition fund now! We can do it MKE!
WE want to provide more prevention, harm reduction and gender affirming care resources for all trans folx and QTPOC in Milwaukee, We are in collaboration with prevention organization Diverse and Resilient,
The future of the transition fund looks like a memorial garden, support and funds for gender affirming care procedures and surgery's, sexual assault prevention, and leadership development programs we want to address the socialization of trans women, violence, and how to build generational wealth in the QTPOC community
Just 23 Years Old Amyri Dior was taken from us, her family loved her and her killer has been apprehended and is on trial.

Mya was a Milwaukee ICON she inspired and supported many girls in transiion including myself.
Her killer was recently sentenced to 23 years, The judge said she had to set an example. Is this justice, what preventative work can we work to do together? How much of this sentence will he actually do? They met randomly. Do we commend the system for this when she had to take things into her own hands and told the first treponders who did it, is that a real investigation?
The Shade Room Investigates covers the murders of black trans women in Milwaukee and the amazing documentary Kokomo City and the late KOKO DA DOLL
The search for Brazil Johnson's Murderer continues. Brazil was shot in a public place it is like someone saw the suspect.
Deidrick Cross was young and exploring themselves and their gender expression, in both this case and Cashay Henderson's case fire was used to destroy eveidence, this case has gone cold. Deidrick's family loved him and wanted to support him no matter how he identified.
In Cashay Henderson and Deidrick Cross's Murders fire was used,
I beleive fire and the motive in Cashay's murder was because she had video camera's, this might be something you assume or would tell someone to installl camera's for safety but I want us to consider in the context of downlow closeted cutture doe's the presence of a camera then pose it s own risks?
Her murdereer plead insantity , how was it insanity when you attempted to destroy eveidence and the crime scene.
He is facing 85 years, while Mya Allens killer was given 23 years why such a huge gap in the amount of time their facing, for a white man and a black man?
Its unfortunate that the visibility of Cyhna Long's Murder provided those involved oppourtunity for people to captilaze via social media analytics how we hold the integrity and dinigty of girls when in these cases and how do we have these tough aweful impossible conversations with families and community?
